In the serene pause between the bustling past and the promising future, we find the space to truly appreciate the milestones that define our journey. It was in November 2023, amidst the familiar warmth and camaraderie of the Plano Chamber of Commerce, that I was deeply honored to receive the Small Business Person of the Year Award. The months since have been a reflective period, a time to ponder the significance of this accolade not only for my professional trajectory but for the personal growth and community connections it symbolizes. Today, I am excited to share this moment with you, a bit belatedly but with no less joy and gratitude.

In the quiet moments of reflection, the true value of a journey emerges not just from the milestones achieved but from the connections made, the challenges overcome, and the collective spirit of a community that uplifts and empowers.

The Power of Community: Since 2009, the Plano Chamber of Commerce has been more than an organization to me; it has been a family, a mentor, and a guiding light. The relationships forged within this remarkable community have been the cornerstone of my journey. The camaraderie, support, and wisdom shared by fellow members, including esteemed honorees like Bob Kehr, Misty Hoyt, and Maco Amoyo, have enriched my path in ways words can scarcely capture.

A Tribute to My Pillars of Strength: No journey is solitary, and mine has been buoyed by an incredible support system. My husband and partner in all things, Krishna, and our children, Samhi and Nav, have been my unwavering foundation, infusing my days with love and encouragement. My parents, siblings, and a tapestry of friends from all walks of life have been the bedrock of my resilience and determination. My dedicated team, who stand by me every day, are the unsung heroes making our shared vision a reality.

Giving Back: A Core Belief: Success, in its truest form, is measured by the impact we have on the world around us. My commitment to philanthropy, fueled by a desire to address childhood food insecurity, empower women, and contribute to educational initiatives like Junior Achievement, has been an integral part of my mission. Leadership Plano Class 35, affectionately known as the “BEST CLASS EVER,” has further amplified my dedication to community service, reaffirming my belief in the transformative power of collective action.

Closing Reflections: This award symbolizes more than individual achievement; it stands as a testament to the strength of community, the importance of support networks, and the profound belief that together, we can forge a path of meaningful change. I am immensely grateful to the Plano Chamber of Commerce for this honor and to each person who has been a part of this enriching journey.

Engagement Invitation: I invite you to share your own stories of recognition, community involvement, or the ways in which support networks have shaped your path. Together, let’s celebrate not just the milestones but the journey that brings us closer to our shared aspirations.
