Mobile users are not ready to accept a less-than-great browsing experience, while they are in a hurry to make a purchase or trying to find a place nearby or even when they are researching a topic, product, or service. If your website is not loading instantly on mobile, you have lost a potential customer. According to Google Research data, these mobile moments do matter. They make or break the brand experience for buyers.
When a shopper has a great brand experience on their mobile phones, there is more likelihood of them coming back and shopping on your website again. If they have had a negative or neutral experience, you can be sure that they are not coming back.
Few key points to note & address, based on Google Research data on Mobile experience:
- Lags are lethal. Making load speed a high priority is critical. If your web page takes more than 3 seconds, users will abandon your site, Make sure your content (text, video, graphics) load instantly on mobile phones
- Helping them helps you; Learning from people’s search behavior marketers can uncover the powerful signals of intent. Knowing the intent, you can deliver relevant messaging in their individual moments of need
- Neutral can be negative; Forty-six percent of people say they would not purchase from a brand again if they had an interruptive mobile experience. If the experience is neutral & not awesome, it is as good as a negative experience
