What Are Long-Tail Keywords And How Do They Help SEO?
Long-tail keywords are search terms with more words. Their scope is narrow, and it helps in targeting the right demography at a reduced cost.
Let’s look at the following example.
The phrase, photo frame is a generic search term (also called a head term) with a broad scope.
Longer variations of that phrase like a
- metal photo frame,
- wooden photo frame,
- antique photo frame,
- antique wooden photo frame
are some examples of the long tail keyword.
As you can see, the scope becomes narrow, and the search volume decreases, but the lead quality is more refined (more qualified).
